With the participation of the relevant ministries, professional organisations and educational institutions, the Organising Committee of the Budapest Water Summit 2019 (BWS2019) held its inaugural meeting on 6 February 2019.

Organised by the Hungarian Government and under the patronage of the President of the Republic of Hungary, H.E. Mr. János Áder, Hungary will host the third Budapest Water Summit in 2019 in order to actively contribute to the shaping of global water policy processes.

The event will be held in Budapest between 15-17 October 2019. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary,  responsible for  preparation and organisation of the event, expects more than 2000 participants from countries all over the world – based on the attendance numbers of the conference held in 2016.

The event is built around the issues of abundant,  scarce and polluted water.

Similarly to the Budapest Water Summits held in 2013 and 2016, a water expo will be held again to present the latest, most up-to-date drinking and wastewater management technologies, as well as sustainable, innovative, environment–friendly solutions in the field of drinking water production, water treatment, water supply and water resources management.
