Johann Strauss: The Blue Danube

Johann Strauss Jr. was rightly named “The Waltz King”. Born in 1825 in Vienna, Strauss organized the most exquisite balls of his time: the Opera Ball of Paris and in addition many royal state balls to great success.

All of Vienna celebrated him in 1866 only to be joined a year later by the French capital, shortly after debuting his most successful and popular piece, the waltz called “The Blue Danube”. The graceful, fascinating truly noble melody of Vienna reflecting the natural spirit of Austrian folk dance tempts everyone towards the dance floor to this very day.
