Art, development of Lake Balaton, sustainability

The ARTplacc Festival of Contemporary Art and Design, starting at Tihany on 21 July, is focussed on environmental awareness, sustainability, and the development of the Balaton Region.

The many pieces of art and design exhibited at the festival offer reflections on the development and rethinking of the Balaton Region and the restoration of harmony between humanity and its environment. The material of the Balaton Express exhibition, organised by MONO art & design from the works of students at the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design, will also be in show at Tihany, along with selected works by graduating students of the Budapest Metropolitan University, the Károly Eszterházy University, Kaposvár University and the Hungarian University of Fine Arts.

The daytime programmes of ARTplacc are free of charge, so everyone can view the material on show and join the crafts workshops and the discussions.
