UNESCO-IHE envisions a world in which all people manage their water and environmental resources in a responsible and sustainable manner, and in which all sectors of society, particularly the poor, can enjoy the benefits of basic infrastructural services.
IHE believes that the water resources of our Earth will only be able to meet the needs of a future population of almost 9 billion people if poverty, climate change and public health systems are fixed today, because all of that is indispensable for the worldwide spread of acceptable water management practices. It is for that purpose that the Institute organises its world-class practice-oriented and complex training courses.
