Sustainable Water Solutions Expo

Building upon the successful event in 2013, Hungary will again host the Budapest Water Summit in 2016 in order to give a momentum to the practical implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals adopted by the UN as well as to achieve progress concerning the water-related aspects of the Paris Climate Agreement within the UN 21st Climate Conference. As part of this high-level conference, a Sustainable Water Solutions Expo will be held aiming to display internationally recognised water management technologies.

Innovation, Competitiveness, Technology

The Expo is intended to focus on sustainable, innovative, environment-friendly solutions in the field of drinking water production, water treatment and water supply.

The exhibition will also provide an opportunity for exhibitors to present and discuss their innovative and sustainable technologies.

All exhibitors will be offered the opportunity to visit the official programmes of the Budapest Water Summit 2016, and therefore will have the chance to meet prominent international professional and political representatives participating in the high-level discussions and thematic forums.

In order to fully ensure the potential synergies with the other sections of BWS 2016, the Expo will take place close to the plenary summit and forums, at the Millenáris Park in Budapest.

The second and third day of the Expo (29-30 November) will be open to the public upon previous online registration only (this registration does not grant entrance to the plenary sessions and forums of the BWS 2016 summit).

Referring to the motto of World Water Day 2016 ‘Water and Jobs’, the third day of the Expo will be open to university and college students (with previous registration), who will have the opportunity to meet water professionals as well as exhibiting companies and organisations.
