Hungaricum Food and Drink

The term “Hungaricum” refers to any unique item, including food and drink, that is typically and intrinsically Hungarian.

The list is long and distinguished, including complex dishes like Goulash soup and Fish stew, both liberally-flavoured with paprika, then there’s Somloi Galuska (a devilishly delicious creamy chocolate dessert,) to simple but delicious ingredients, like Pick winter Salami, perfect to tide you though until Spring in style, and Goose liver paté. Drinks are not forgotten, of course, and these are also represented in terms of spirits like Pálinka and the digestive Unicum and some fine wines, such as sweet white Tokaji Aszú and rich, red Bull’s Blood of Eger.
